I’ve had the pleasure of working with Reese Group Inc., on behalf of Idahoan Foods, and Smithfield Foods’ Eckrich brand, to create a cross-promotion for DeCA that brings both flavor and steep savings to its patrons during April and May.
The promotion features Idahoan’s Mashed Potatoes and Eckrich’s Smoked Sausage. Both products were a natural fit together as they are value-centric, easy-to-prepare and together, make a great meal for busy families.
The promotion features a “Buy One, Get One Free” coupon offer with recipes, case cards, shelf violators, secondary displays featuring coolers and shippers, and military publication advertising, all designed and executed by Branch 5 Marketing. The program will also feature a display contest to encourage creative mass displays and merchandising.
One of the biggest challenges of this promotion was tying two brands together that are represented by different brokerages. With the right planning, careful execution and clear communication, we believe we have positioned both brands and brokers for success.
